Tax Assistance


Volunteers provide FREE federal tax assistance to the people of Roane County by helping people with basic tax returns and electronic filing (Includes Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Student Loan Deductions, and more). Electronic refunds generally received within 2 weeks of transmittal. We do not do state returns.

What to bring . . .
  • This year's tax package and/or label
  • All forms (W-2, 1099's, etc.)
  • Information for other income
  • Information for all deductions/credits
  • A copy of last year's return
  • Photo ID and social security card
  • Social Security card for all dependents
