CASA of the Ninth Judicial District CASA of the Ninth Judicial District serves Roane and Morgan Counties. Their mission is to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers that advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the family court system. CASA volunteers positively impact the lives of at risk children and research demonstrates that the intervention of a Court Advocate reduces the cycle of children reentering the Juvenile Justice System.

Roane County Cooperative Ministries Roane County Cooperative Ministries is an emergency assistance agency operated by Roane County congregations. RCCM makes grants to low-income residents for assistance with utility, rent, mortgage payments and emergency medicine. Garden grants are also available.

Sexual Assault Center of East TN  

STARS STARS is a speaking panel of sexually abstinent, pregnant or parenting teens who share their own experiences and inspiring lessons learned with middle schoolers. They encourage abstinence until marriage and share information on a variety of topics such as teen pregnancy, STDs, relationships and dating, peer pressure alcohol and drugs, and everyday challenges common to the teen scene. Stars is a program of The Florence Crittenton Agency.

TN Scholars Tennessee Scholars is an education initiative sponsored by the Education Committee of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce.  The purpose of Tennessee Scholars is to increase the number of students graduating from high school with a rigorous, defined academic course of study that prepares them for higher education, the workforce, or the military. In addition to a rigorous course of study, Roane County Schools require students to have an overall "C" average, 95% attendance, pass End of Course tests, have no out-of-school suspensions, and 40 hours of community service.
